The School of Anti-Racism is a physical and digital space where working-class activists learn about racial justice and social movements throughout our history. Our purpose: to transform the personal experience into a political one. Through events, courses and programmes, we link the radical history of British social justice movements to the worldwide resistance against racism and how it relates to global economic and labour exploitation.
We aim to strengthen understanding of methods of radical racial justice and be part of a national and international network of anti-racists. We want to inspire a spirit of ongoing resistance and offer a space where people can discuss other ways our society, economy and politics can operate. The outcome: a network of anti-racist activists that can challenge and collaborate with others from across the world to challenge racism and its structures.
The principles we want the school to operate on are:
- By being anti-racist, we are anti-capitalist
- We work as a collective of people
- Intersectionality is a part of everything we do
